Release Notes

New versions will trigger an automatic update notification, or you may manually update by navigating to Setup > Tools > Update. For HQ, navigate to Setup > Update.

8.7.3 (December 17, 2026)

Pro & Back Office

New

  • Cash Change Rounding: U.S. merchants can now set a denomination for rounding cash change, following the discontinuation of the penny ($0.01) by the U.S. Mint. See this knowledgebase article for details.
  • Customer Management: Added a POS Screen Function to create and edit customers directly from the POS. See this knowledgebase article for details.
  • Comment Functions: Introduced two new POS Screen Functions for adding typed comments:
    • Loan w/Comment [355]
    • Payout w/Comment [356].
  • Device Support: Added integration for the PAX A35 PIN Pad, for merchant payment processing. See Payment Devices for current pricing and information.

Enhanced

  • RJ Scan Data: File generation and SFTP transfer now support Circana file naming and direct delivery using StoreTender Pro or Back Office. Since MSAi is no longer supported, all transfers must use Circana. If you received a request for Circana SFTP credentials, please provide them to ensure successful transfers.
  • ScratcherTracker: Improved functionality to allow entering ticket quantities when receiving, instead of scanning the last ticket serial number (useful if the barcode is obscured). See this knowledgebase article Step 4.1 for details.

Fixed

    • Corrected issue where voiding certain media types (Check, Coupon, Charge) produced extra subtotal lines.
    • Fixed voiding of card tenders in specific circumstances.
    • Weighted items now count as one item in the receipt totals, rather than by weight.
    • CSV imports into Products now work correctly, with significantly improved speed.
    • Fixed inability to void partial EBT payments.
    • Corrected Price Formula discounts when a qualifying item is voided.
    • Fixed RJ Scan Data to correct for report failure “Price Less than Zero”, when adding a coupon that is more than the price of an item.
    • Changed RJ Scan Data to report ‘Y’ when a coupon is used previously ‘N’), per Circana standards.
    • Fixed inability to delete a Blue Law from a Department if it was the only Department with one applied.
    • Addressed ScratcherTracker issue with non-activated tickets sold.
    • Fixed multiple subtotal line issue when adding a customer, pressing Subtotal, then Error Correct.
    • Corrected balance due error when a customer made a Payment on Account followed by Error Correct.
  • Fixed Price Formula option 3 when applied to a sale and then refunded in the same transaction.

HQ

New

    • Note: HQ can only set this one store at a time. For merchants with more than 10 stores, please open a support ticket for assistance.

8.6.6 (January 12, 2024)

Fixed

  • Mid-release 01/18/24: Fixed issue where refunding check media only would cause check media totals to get out-of-balance.
  • Fixed multiple Subtotal groups appearing when cashier accidentally tries to Void a Food Service Item. This could cause an imbalance between sales and media totals. Food Service Items should be altered/voided using the Modify Item screen function, and not Void/Void (Preserve).
  • Fixed Modify Item screen function for Food Service Items. Screen touch was not registering but now does.
  • Fixed Manufacturer Discounts (1-3) screen function button not allowing screen touch after invoking function.
  • Fixed incorrect Margin/Markup values when adjusting both the Cost and Price of Family items using Everyday Pricing task.

8.6.5 (January 10, 2024)

Pro & Back Office

Fixed

  • When partial tendering in the POS, pressing Subtotal post-tender now displays the amount due less payments already made.
  • Fixed an issue during Voids after Subtotal Discount that would cause multiple Subtotal group texts to appear onscreen. This in turn would cause Media and Sales totals to mismatch. The customer was always charged correctly.
  • Fixed an issue with Void (Preserve) that would not allow multiple Voids of the same Product.

RF Server

This version may require you to make a change to the LCD Settings on your RF Terminal. After installation, start the RF Server and RF Terminal. Follow the instructions on the RF Server screen to disable the legacy 4-line LCD mode.

New

  • Added support for Bluetooth mobile label printers. Requires a refit of the current RF Terminal to add the Bluetooth module. Contact us for details.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue with RF Terminal/Base Station losing connection to the RF Server (Host). This occurred during rapid-fire scans that were faster than the host could accommodate. Changed settings to allow for faster scans without losing connection to the host.

  • Fixed issue with Error Correct erasing multiple or all items from the screen, depending on the input method (scanned or manual entry).
  • Fixed issue with Voiding a coupon, then reapplying the coupon after Subtotal would erase items.
  • Corrected Subtotal on Cashier screen not reflecting current balance due after partial payment(s).
  • Corrected Subtotal text (taxes, partial payments, etc.) not appearing when Subtotal button is pressed after a partial payment.
  • Fixed issue where Refunding items and then applying a Subtotal Discount would cause some items to be removed.

  • Fixed issue with Voids not responding as expected to touchscreen selection, causing an unhandled exception error.
  • Fixed issue with Void on an Age Verification item after partial payment.
  • Fixed issue with programmable keyboards not processing number entry after either a partial tender or a card payment.
  • Restored the missing “Last Edit” date on the bottom status bar of the Products screen. The Last Edit date and employee who performed the edit are also available by hovering your mouse over the Edit button when a Product is loaded.

Enhanced

  • The data import utility throughout the software has been vastly improved for faster speed.
  • Customers using Datacap’s EasyCheckout (for Ingenico devices) now have a 30 second timeout while waiting for card input. In the past, there was no timeout, which caused the illusion of being “hung”. Now, when the cashier tries to process a card payment, the device will wait 30 seconds for the card tap/swipe/chip. If not received in that time a timeout message will appear and the cashier can give additional time by pressing “Payment Terminal” again.
  • The Loyalty Program option to issue a gift card for a customer reward has been enhanced to support EMV devices.
  • Added the ability to Markup from Retail by Percentage, when using the Pricing Wizard. This applies to Everyday and Sale Pricing.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue from version 8.6.0 that did not clear the POS keyboard/scanner buffer completely.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause loading of the Sample database to fail.
  • The POS Find search dialog has been fixed and no longer returns an account/item if there was no match found during the search.
  • The Department Default setting for Taxes is now correctly displaying the tax choices.
  • The Customer History report was not able to distinguish between customer purchases if the transaction number repeated or was reset. The report has been fixed and beginning with this version will work correctly. However, all historical data cannot be displayed – only data saved with this version and higher. Therefore, to get historical data navigate to Data > Inventory > Customer and click the History button.
  • Support for the Digital Persona U.are.U fingerprint readers has been removed due to compatibility issues with Windows 10/11.

HQ

Enhanced

  • Added the ability to Markup from Retail by Percentage, when using the Pricing Wizard. This applies to Everyday and Sale Pricing.

Fixed

  • The Customer History report was not able to distinguish between customer purchases if the transaction number repeated or was reset. The report has been fixed and beginning with this version will work correctly. However, all historical data cannot be displayed – only data saved with this version and higher. Therefore, to get historical data navigate to Data > Inventory > Customer and click the History button.

RF Server

New
