POS Edit Customer Screen Function

In response to a Feature Request, we have added the ability to display customer information in the POS when adding a customer to a transaction. In the past, using the Add Customer POS function button would open the POS Customer screen if no account number was found, allowing a new customer to be added. If the customer number was found in the system, it would simply add the existing customer to the transaction.

With version 8.7.3 of StoreTender, a new POS Function has been added. The Edit Customer function, numbered [354], works as follows, once you add the Edit Customer function button to the POS screen.

Enter the Customer number, followed by Edit Acct (Edit Customer function) button. Regardless of whether the account exists or not, the POS Customer screen displays. If it is an existing Customer, the screen is populated with their data, allowing for changes and the subsequent addition of the Customer to the transaction. If the Customer number is not associated with an existing customer, a new record is created, named Valued Member. The cashier can make changes on-the-fly and add the updated customer record to the transaction.
